Our Spinoni

Saddle Mountain Fausti came to us in 2015 from Wisdom, Montana. Her parents, Garibaldi del Subasio and Lady Jane del Subasio came to live with the Wigen family from Ezio Pagliarini’s del Subasio Kennel. For more about her pedigree, AKC registration, NAVHDA registration and hunt testing, PennHIP scores, or DNA analysis for CA, please contact us.

We originally chose the Spinone because we wanted a dog with a big personality that could make a Read to Me or a visiting dog. With our daughter, Emma, Fausti passed her AKC S.T.A.R. puppy test and took part in Pet Partner training to become a Read to Me dog. Although Emma has moved on to college and career, Fausti still has hopes that she will finish her training and someday kiddos will read to her at the library.

Ultimo del Subasio, or Timo, came to us from Ezio Pagliarini and the del Subasio Kennel of Bastia Umbra, Italy, in November of 2017. He is our beautiful, silly boy that loves to speak “Chewbacca”, do almost anything Fausti is doing, play in the water, tear through the snow and romp in the fields after ball or bird. He is the son of Rocco del Subasio and Pita del Subasio. His strong Spinoni features and expression say “look into my eyes”. For more information about his pedigree, ENCI, AKC or NAVHDA registrations; PennHip score or DNA analysis for CA, please contact us.

Aspen Della Saggezza, our first pup from our first litter, stayed with us and is a sweet girl who loves to chase almost anything including balls, butterflies and bunnies. Often called Noodle or Aspenolli for her floppy, silly behavior, Aspen enjoys running through the barnyard and dips in the creek almost any time of year.

Spinfandel That’s Amore or Louie, is our Cali boy. We journeyed to Santa Rosa to bring him home in the spring of 2021. He is of Mary Faeth’s Spinfandel lines, parented by Ch Michaela and Ch Spinfandel Galactic Firejemo. Louie likes to trot proudly with his tail up, run rampantly through tall grass, get filthy rolling in the dirt after a dip in the creek and play chase with Aspen. He is beginning his show career starting with puppy (4-6 month) entries in Redmond and Portland, Oregon, over the summer. At his first 6-9 month entry in Great Falls, Montana, he placed fourth in Sporting Group and first in Owner Handler Sporting Group. He is off to a great start and hopefully we can do him justice!
